suspension mounts for my vintage gretsch drums?

The tom mounts broke off of my stop sign gretsch kit. I want to buy some suspension mounts that attach to the rims to replace them. Is this recommended for recording? can anyone recommend a model to go with for these old drums? Last question...the wrap is coming off of the kick drum rim, what kind of glue to use here? Thanks in advance.

Hmm, just about everybody makes some kind of mount nowadays, some attach to the rim, some to the lugs, it varies. as does price. I would email Gretsch customer service and see what they recommend.

I would try a double sided tape on the rim, glue is too messy IMO. Tape will probably fail at some point but so would glue and tape is alot easier to clean up and re-apply than glue.....was that redundant?
