hey!
i asked this on another board and thought i'd give it a shot here too...
anyone use computer surround sound speakers as a mixing moniter? or have an opinion on this?
i'm have a heck of a time getting the bass right in the mix....if it sounds good on these little rinky speakers it blows the cover off a stereo...i'm trying to find ideas on how to moniter my mixing...i mix mainly by ear

I'm no expert!

I'm no expert but won't mixing it on surround speakers make it seem a lot 'fuller' than it actually is, I mean most people use just a normal 2 speaker setup on their hi-fi etc, don't they? I use headphones to get a nice sound then my PC speakerss to do a few tweaks etc.

Cheers

it's been a booger" if i mix a good sound on my puter speakers and headphones the bass blows my stereo speaker out....if i mix for a good sound on stereo the bass disapears on the smaller speakers :( so i'm thinking about using some sort of speaker system directly inline from my puter to moniter the mix, and not sure what to use,so far i'm just guessing at the mix...i'm mixing everything on the puter
