Hi all,

This song is about that part of all of us that want to be a superstar. The influence started off being the Red Hot Chili Peppers but as usual for me somehow ended up sounding a bit different. It's an 'adult alternative' song with hints of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Counting Crows, and perhaps some Old '97s. Instruments include acoustic and electric guitars, bass and drums.

Would appreciate any feedback or help on improving it!!

the guitars sound a little out to me.. vocals seemed a little sibilant at times.. other than that it sounded good..

If you wouldn't mind, when you say 'out' what are you referring to exactly?
 
the guitars intonation.. the guitars sound slightly out of tune on certain chords.. it's enough to give the whole song a slightly off feel for me.. quality would go up if you retracked those.. sweet vocal sound on those backups..
 
That helps! Yea - I'm afraid that I am up for a retonation of the old Fender. I tried to do it myself but without much success. I thought I could get away with what I had - so it's good feedback to hear that it is indeed noticeable.

What do you guys think of the mix EQ? I want to make some adjustments and before I do would like to get input...

Hi Jeff,

Mix sounds pretty good, and it is very Peppers like except for the snare. Agree that the guitar sounds a little out of tune

Song sounds a little empty to me, not sure why. maybe an organ would help in the chorus?
