Here's my latest instrumental guitar tune, Superglue and Sunflowers.

Has some heavy Univibe-ness happening.. any comments on the mix greatly appreciated!

Dig the univibe sound.....like what you have done here...pretty cool progression your jamming over.On my system seems to be lacking a bit of bass guitar, but that's just personal taste.
I really like the dynamics in this..the way you take it down around 2:45 and then back.Very cool and expressive playing around 3:25...love that tone!!!Sounds like a Strat to me?Just curios what you used on this...
I enjoyed this alot...thanks for sharing it.

I love the chord changes you're playing over. GREAT lead choice. Very credible. Great dynamics in the arrangement. Lots of drama. I like the Hammond in the background. This is one of the better tunes I've heard in a while.

The lead guitar seems a little loud, sort of sitting on rather than riding the mix.
The progression is nice & the lead lines too.
What instruments/effects etc have you applied to this?
I REALLY like the rhythm guitar. Is that a real Rhodes piano or an electronic version?
the organ chord are perfectly strident for their part.
The bass sound fine on occasion but on others it does seem to disappear.
The ending's a bit of a whimp out though.

Cool tune man.... I like it for sure, reminds me of something I'd write....

May I be as so bold to offer some thought on the lead....

Over the main part (the mellow part) play some mixolydian stuff, then when it kicks in, wail on the minor pentatonic... You will create alot of tension and release with that... Merly just a suggestion though...Just play a little more with the openess of the lead on the main part, creating more of that airey feeling... Only what I hear in my head....I do like what ya have, just offering a different angle/approach to it. The changes of the tune are killer.... Good songwriting

Other than that, I really like it, has a very nice feel to it...

I love Uni-Vibe....

i like your tune. the mix sounds pretty good too.

Wow thanks for all the comments!

Equipment I used;
Lead guitar is a 1985 Randy Rhoads Jackson, going into a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive, then a Line 6 Modulation Modeller (univibe sound), then into an Echo Mia soundcard, and into Cubase. I used Native Instrument Guitar Combos for the amplifier simulator, then there's some multi-band limiting.

Rhythm guitar is an Ibanez AF75 with TV Jones pickups, tuned to Drop D, going through Guitar Rig. Bass is a korean cheapo with Dimarzio in the bridge.
Electric piano is Lounge Lizard.

I agree the lead might be a bit loud, and is sitting on top of the mix rather than being part of it.. Have to do another mix!

Thanks! :D
