Another edition.

Like it or hate it.

oh yeah it would be part of Sunday II, not a direct link.

muy interestado- Different from your other stuff I've heard thats for sure. Not sure how I like the key patch choices-seems like the 2nd key part competes with the voice a bit. The singing is great. Nice volume swell before the piano part-how did you do it? Theres a third wierd sound in there sounds like one of those old hand held football games hehe. A bass woulda been cool for the buildup-The more I listen the more I'm getting used to the key sounds-they kind of have a carnival/happy sound that makes a interesting bed for the vocal-which seems kinda sad. Always interesting.

yeah....that 3rd sound... that's gotta go.. Seems to be part of your organ patch on the left.

I always like listening to your soothing singing. Reminds me of a friend I used to have 35 years ago. He was the first kid on the block to make a REAL record and he was the "pup" of the group with his Gibson melody maker.

weird distant drums sound at the end and a rather quick fade, eh?

I always drool when I see one of your posts for new stuff. Love it..get back on the Sunday kick...K?

oh...another reason I like the vocals.. You have one of the best recorded voices in the clinic. You hear the lip smacking, and all the subtleties that fit in just right. No excessive breathing sounds, but nice and "rounded" sounding for a lack of better words. Seems that is one of your strong points... a great recorded vocal sound. now....your wavering voice!!!!:D :D

btw...where those drums at the end in another room (than your mics)!!!:p

GREAT smooth vocal quality!!

Some of the patches get a little muddy in the low registers.

Drums need closer mic placement but could be fixed with some tweaking in C.E.P. or a similar program.

The tine patch is abrasive on the descending C Bb Ab G Eb @ :34(mp3 time)

Very creative!!! I look forward to the finished product! Once again, your wonderful vocal quality is aesthetically pleasing and very relaxing!!

...cool!
I'll second what Mix said. ...no doubles, no smoke and mirrors... (that are apparent anyway). ...and always very dynamic. Your vocs are always a treat in here...

...a cymbal solo...:D ....thats new.

Excellent recording as always Em. ...Im thinking this is either a part that is going to be attached to a Sunday collage, or this is an unfinished tune. ....are you planning for these "Sunday" sessions to seamlessly "fit together"? ....that would be Damn cool!!!

Stratomaster: The volume swell was a patch from the nano piano reversed in software and time alligned. The 3rd sound you hear is some kinda resonator plugin. Thanks for listening.

mixmkr: Yeah maybe the 3rd sound should go, I kinda liked it but I'll listen again sometime. The drums were an afterthought, I didn't mic them up I just left the vocal mic on and banged away. I recorded that with the MXL V67G. It seems to work well on my voice. I recently bought an NTK which works as well, but doesn't seem as smooth. Kind of a piss off, I thought more expensive mic's were always better :D Thanks mixmkr.

flat-9: I'll check into that :34 time reference. Drums are indeed distant sounding, as they were distant miced :) I don't think it's possible to fix them, If I get back to the tune I'll replace them. That goes against the sunday rules though. Thanks for the info Flat-9.

Guernica: A cymbal solo heheh. The end part shouldn't have been there, was too tired to re-edit it. It is both part of the sunday series and unfinished. I've thought of stringing them together. As I was writing this I noticed it morphing back into sunday4000. Ah well. Thanks Guernica.

Great stuff of Emeric. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. I'm starting my version of Sunday Tunes... but since I haven't even started yet it's called Someday tunes.

I like this a lot. I seem to be the only one who thinks the vocals should be louder. It may be my crap speakers but I can barely hear them. Very original, which is a high compliment in that most of us (myself included) tend to rehash old stuff.

yeah you do get a great vocal sound and your voice makes me happy..

You usually always get a great drum sound so I guess this sound is more for an effect.. I think you could have cut off the end drum stuff, or even better, make longer tunes.. cool stuff as always..

I like it!

What's the piano, has a very real ambience to it. Is it a real piano?

JR#97: One of these days I'm sure you'll get to the someday tunes. Lots of time. Thanks for listening to it.

ashulman: The levels may not be as constant as they should / could be. What they really need are some decent lyrics, they are not very cohesive or extensive by any means. Appreciate the feedback.

B.SABBATH: Hey Sam, the drums didn't have a whole lot of effort micing wise, just hit record with the single vocal mic. The song could be easily longer, I'll see what happens with it. Thanks for checking it out.

macle: Nah, it's the same old Alesis Nano Piano, different rotation on the patch knob. It ain't a bad unit really, sure there are better but it works. Thanks Macle.
