Ok guys its buy or die time for me.

Heres what I've got

Soundcraft M8
Joemeek 3Q
Behringer pres on my DDX3216

Here's what I'm looking at:

Summit Audio 2BA-221
or
M-Audio Tampa

I want something warm and but smooth to use with my Audix OM5 for harsh female singer. I can't spend more than $600.00 per my wife.

Sorry...I don't own either of those. Have you looked at the RNP at $475 and the Safe Sound P1 at $499. Both have gotten good reviews and are under your price cap. Harvey wrote a pretty detailed review on the RNP that can be found by searching, and I believe Chessrock and Warren from Front End Audio know about the Safe Sound.

Get the Summit Audio, it is a really really great sounding unit. With real tube. Which you can blend in 0-100%. Also impendance matching and sweepable highpass filter 20-200Hz.

And, great sound. Did I say that ?

I just bought one but have yet to use it. Got it with a cheap Nady-like mic which I sold for $75 - net cost around $500.
