I have a client who records a podcast. The program (at least the part that HE records) is voice only. He currently uses a headset mic (which sounds like crap and I don't know which one he uses) and he wants to upgrade. I can't talk him out of a headset type mic because he likes the fact that the mic part is always near his mouth (I think he wants to be a wrestling broadcaster
so if anybody could suggest a decent headset type mic please...
He is also in the market for a decent, inexpensive mixer. He won't use more than 4 inputs at any one time, so suggestions for mixers too please.
And one more. He wants to record some live interviews at conventions that he attends and wants some suggestions for free or cheap recording software and some portable recording equipment. I'm guessing a laptop with a decent soundcard but what soundcard?
Thanks for answers and suggestions and if there's anything I might not foresee feel free to speak up!
