suggestions on midi to usb

I'm searching for a low priced adapter for a midi (from keyboard) to usb port on cpu. I'm running xp media edition and have noticed many complaints in reviews re: incompatibility (even when they're promoted as not having problems). Any luck w/ any while using windows xp? Thanks for all the good info on soundcards in previous thread by the way.

The m-audio/midiman USB Midisport modules have always worked nicely for me and they are quite affordable too... They have many different sizes too meet your needs.
