I am relatively new to recording and have been using the emu 1212m since i started (about a year) and cubase sx3
well, i want to upgrade to more inputs but want to still be able to use the ad coverters in the emu card, is this possible? is there anyway to use a external audio interface with the emu's ad coverters? the audio dock has more but still probly not enough for recording our band.......so i am looking at other options in the meantime, i was thinking mabey some sort of interface that uses the emu's digital inputs (which i know nothing about) along with its coverters?.........this probly sounds stupid.......... :o

also will a firewire interface like a firepod work simultaniously with the emu 1212m? or will i need special drivers to use both in cubase?

thanks in advance! .....David

Get the emu 1820m or just order the breakout box from emu to add more inputs than what u have.

at least 12.....

That being the case, the easiest way is probably to add the audiodock from emu, and then utilize its Adat in with an 8 channel Adat mic pre. This will net you 16 inputs.
