This will be my 1st DAW to build and have about $1300 including a monitor. Suggestions will be very helpful since I am purchasing parts very soon. Thanks.

Should be fine. I wonder about that SB Live! in there, though, but for MIDI it's a decent option...

Would suggest the Segate as the OS drive, the Maxtor as the audio drive.
