Suggestions for re-record needed

I am sending this recording to the land of the red button. I want to try it again but need input. There is something wrong with the overall tone of the verses but I don't have any idea what it is. I'm pleased with the effect of the chorsus's especially the ending one. But my other question is: Do you think the guitar improv during the verses is dumb? I have lost all objectivity on this. I can take a completely different approach if you think that is needed or maybe it's ok as is? Thanks

I dunno, I like the playing. It's tight and waaay beyond what I am capable of.

But as far as listening, it's a bit distended. Too abrupt changes between the verses and chorus. And too much going on for one song. You seem to have quite a few songs bunched into one. This might work well for a song with lyrics, but it leaves this one a bit out there. Maybe rein in some of the tangents and stick to a single theme?

Or am I just talking out the side of my neck?
 
Thanks Rokket. It does seem pieced together and lacks flow between the parts. I'll have to see what I can do about that.
