Suggestions for Home Audiobook Recording Equipment?

The issue is that space is limited, and her publisher's equipment is really soaking up a lot of real estate. Moreover, she's always so busy recording that I almost never have a chance to really get in there (between projects) and

Ideally I'd like to get as little equipment as possible.

Balanced mic > [please suggest balanced input solution here] > Balanced PC input for recording

No need for anything more than 2-4 inputs (even a single input is fine)
