Though I try to read everything posted around here and related links, I would still like some suggestions from the "Masters" around here for doing the final mixing. Here's what I've got, I'm recording @ 16 & 24 bit: Basically 6 tracks before vocals with a bit of reverb on 2 tracks. The bass was recorded DI with a bit of gain and is compressed and limited while the guitars and master out were set at o db and never go into the red. For now I'm using loops for drums. I start with clean DI acoustic, but notice it almost sounds electric by the time all the other tracks are doing their thing. I've used volume curves to bring down some tracks at certain times to avoid this. It's not terrible, but noticeable to me. Suggestions ? Also, should I make as many adjustments as possible before adding the vox, and then again after? The vox will be sent to me as a wav from a friend. Thank You!
