Suggestions? Digital delay for live performances on Electric Bass

I'm wanting a pedal, I think, that will record about 30 seconds
and allow for extra layers to be added. By the way, money is
a big issue so $200 is the limit. I don't expect studio quality.
I just want another arrow in the quiver. The last echo I used
was an Echoplex in the 70's.

Any suggestions?

What you are looking for is a Looper. You should be able to find one under $200, if you shop around, possibly used.
