Ok...
I've been in another forum getting tuned up on tweaking XP for optimum audio performance but this stuttering is looking more like a software problem.
I can't keep the mixer open during playback because of severe stuttering. I also noticed that my CPU usage drops about 10% whenever I close it. Is that normal?
Also anytime I'm using realtime processing/mixing/moving windows the stuttering is severe. I used to be able to do this without serious interuptions.
What could be causing this?
I was able to record a good track of bass today with no problem.
I've tried different buffer settings but to no avail.
AND I'M REALLY ANNOYED THAT I HAVE TO GO TO PREFERENCES AND UNCHECK "KEEP DEVICES OPEN" EVERY TIME I HAVE TO USE MY WAV EDITOR!
There I feel better.
