Hi there,
Five keys on my 990 no longer send a signal. I've tried to find a keyboard repair in Manhattan with little luck. The thing weighs a lot so I don't want to ship it.
I saw in another forum someone took apart a kurtweil keyboard with fatar manufactured key systems (Fatar manufactures the studiologic brand). My problem is I cannot even open the case on this monster. Wondering if anyone has ever opened it up? If so how the heck did they do it. There are a ton of screws. Some are sunk down in narrow holes that are hard to see. Can't even tell if they're phillips or flat head.
Thanks for any help. I'd hate to spend over almost $400 to replace an otherwise nifty keyboard.
