I am beginning to make my studio a little more publicly available to some local bands. I am getting a little nervous about telling drummers that I can only record 4 tracks at a time because I only have a Delta 66. What have you found to be musicians expectations or reactions to this limitation.

I am hoping to have 250 maybe $500 to upgrade my studio. Given the list linked below I am hoping for some suggestions on where to spend the money. Should I get a Delta 44 and run it simultaneously so that I can run 8 tracks, should I upgrade Sonar since I’m only on 1.31 or…

Here is also a link to an mp3 just to show where I am currently achieving.

agreed, get the 1010 if you intend to make money. the one thing that customers don't want to hear is that they have to settle for less. in this era it is expected to have atleast 2 overheads and a mix on each drum. now room and specialty mics can make a song stand out, you have a certain level to aspire to. can you actually tell someoen that you are going to premix thieir toms and look them in the face?

I take a Layla24 over a 1010.

There's just been too many issues with 1010's. Search the Recording and Computer Forums to see all the questions and problems folks are having with 1010's.
