studio set up

I am Building a omnirax type desk for my yamaha aw4416. The inputs on it are on the back. Can i just patch em thru to the front of a patch bay so that they are more easily accessible? Will i get any interference or anything? thanx

Studio Setup

This can be a long discussion but I will try to chill. Generally speaking, you can extend cables from your inserts or ins/outs to an external patchbay without any major problems. It's a good idea to hookup one device at a time and listen with no signal with your monitor fully open. If it's quiet, move on to the next device. A good idea is to use those jackfields that have jack sockets on the front and back. It's easier to unplug rather than unsolder.
