Hey everybody,
This is my first post so I hope I'm not breaking any rules but I just bought a C1 this weekend and I wanted to post a sound test so others could hear what it sounds like. This was my first large diaphram condenser purchase and I spent about 4 months researching and I was hoping I could try and make it a little easier for people like me who don't have much money to spend on mics and want to hear a "real world" test of the C1.
Let me give you the specs:
This 7 tracks of me in my bedroom, 4 guitar 3 vocal, all recorded with the C1. I had just pulled the mic out of the box and plugged it into my Aardvark direct pro. I'm sitting in the corner of my bedroom with a sleeping bag hung up on the wall as a feeble attempt to tame the accoustics. It was recorded in cubase in 16bit 44,000khz. I used a 2db low shelf on the guitars because the were a little bit boomy but other then that no other eq was used. I'm running some Waves c1 compressors and a touch of Waves Rverb(love that plug!). I spent about 3 hours total writing, recording, and mixing.
Let me know if this link dosen't work:

I really hope this helps somebody out. By the way, it was the best $250 bucks I ever spent.
