Another really stupid question, but i'm wondering what the distance should be to the mic? And how far away should one put the popscreen vs mouth and popscreen vs mic.

Like: 2cm from popscreen to mic. 8 cm from mouth to popscreen.
Makes 10 cm from mic to mouth. (This is what I used)

And :Wich hight ?, for let's say a male voice and a commercial punkrock sound. In studio's i saw people singing much further away from the mic then I did, but then again that was another mic.

So 3 questions:
Hight?
Distance to the voice?
Distance to pop-screen

PS:Funny anecdote (you gonna laugh at me): When i first bought it i wasn't happy about the sound, it picked up too much room and wasn't ''in front of the box''. So after 3 hours of intensive testing I started singing trough the other side of the microphone, and I felt inredibly stupid but relieved :D

There is no correct answer to your question. If you haven't already, read the big mic "sticky" about diaphragm size and polar patterns at the top of this forum. Somewhere in there is a nice section on vocals.

For starters, place the mic with the capsule at about forehead height and angle it down slightly (30-45 degree angle) so it's pointed toward the singer's mouth. The distance from the mic is entirely dependent on what you want the final vocal to sound like. If you want up-close "whispery" vocals and/or have a quiet singer, get the singer pretty close (inside 6") to take advantage of proximity effect. If you have a louder singer and/or want more "room" on the take, back off to 12-18" or even more. The further you are from the mic, the more distant the voice will be on the soundstage.

Usually, you can use the pop filter to your advantage to keep the singer from getting too close to the mic. So, you can use it as a barrier to say, "no closer than this far." If you place the pop filter at 80% of the approximate distance you want the vocalist, that's a decent start.

i believe the manual says 5 inches away for the vocal dont worry about the pop screen so much.If your having problems at that distance you can sing under the mic alittle

Place the mic wherever it sounds best for your voice and room combination. That's really the only correct answer. Feel free to experiement.
