Sorry to hear about your problem, Eigil! It may be too late now but for anyone who reads Sound on Sound at all there is a good and fairly detailed article this month on care for condenser mics. I'd post some quotes up but they're fairly strict on stuff that's less than 6 months old cos they charge for online subscriptions!

Either way, I tend to agree with McHandsome Al - it's supposed to be brand new. Whether it's the manufacturer, the retailer or the courier's fault, you should be working this out and getting a replacement IMVHO.

Just chill out and drink some of that piss you Norwegions call beer ( Ringnes ) that should help solve the problem or at least make you feel better.
