does the Behringer MX802A and the UB1204-PRO have the right amount of phantom power to power the mic?

and whats the difference between the MX series and UB, would i notice any difference, im i newbie.

thanks.

A mixer is a mixer...unless it's a Behringer mixer, in which case it's...:D

Actually, I have a UB1202 myself, and the preamps on it sound fine. I had bad experiences with MX1604 and others (RF to HELL), but this one sounds fine. It's less good than an MP20 or DMP3, or many other preamps out in the market...but definitely usable. You should have no problem with phantom on them...

does the 1202 have phantom power?

so the MX and UB series are practically the same? or no?

The MX series and the UB series are two very different beasts.....

The MX series are budget and (in a lot of cases) earnt Behringer their name for cheap mixers, although some of them can be alright. They are generally a cheaper rip off of the Mackie's.

The UB series are a much better designed and made series of mixers that are generally very good, although more expensive than the MX series mixers.

Hope thats helped a little.
