Hey guys, i was wondering if you have any advices on studio monitors KRK RP6 G2 or JBL LSR 2325 ?

Thanks

Michael

You'll probably get a better response taking this to the equipment area. I'm interested in the replies, since I'm looking at the Rokit monitors as well.

Good luck.

I too am interested in the 2325's. There is this promotion right now where you buy a pair + their sub and they give you a room analyzer/correction/controller. Do I go for it or not?

Here's a review of the jbls :

I listened to these compared to a bunch of more expensive speakers (Genelecs, Yamahas, Quested) in the store and I was quite impressed. They seem to be quite flat and accurate to me. I took them back to the studio and they sounded quite different in my well treated room.

The first thing I noticed was they sounded kind of "small." I mean, yes of course, they are, but noticeably a little lacking power compared to some other monitors of that size. Is that because the bass is less hyped? Possibly, but I don't think so.

The high end was harsh, so I put the switch to the -1db position. Then there wasn't enough.

Overall, I feel like I hear a slight distortion on these speakers.
I just don't hear the same detail as I do with some other speakers (NS-10s, KRKs, Genelecs for example.)

When playing a loud bass tone w/o high end the port on the back starting rattling rather loudly. It's a plastic ring design, other speakers with a similar thing will have a similar problems.

Despite all those things, I still think they are pretty good for the money, less hyped than the KRKs and would be great for simple editing or writing as long as you don't need a lot of volume or bass.
