OK.....I have two questions here. Both have to do with opinions on certain pieces of equipment (like majority of the threads) but I'm really on a budget and I don't wanna make a regretable purchase.

First I need some studio monitors. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good pair in the $300-$500 range and if so are they worth actually buying or would it be better if I held out until I had more money?

Second I need to buy a synthesizer workstation. The main ones I've been looking at are the Yamaha Motif 6 and the Triton Le. I know these aren't even top of the line but are still kinda expensive for me. I've used the Motif 6 before and like it and I've heard what can be done with the Le. I REALLY don't wanna settle for anything less but I really need a good synth also. Is there any cheaper synths out there worth buying or do I need to just suck it up and buy a Motif/Triton when I get the money?

Thanks in advance

Yo Beat of "da" feets:

There are several brands of monitors you can get for your price range. I recently plugged in a set of Event SP8 passives. They run about 100 pezzutos more than you want to spend. However, the KRK8 passives are in your price range.

You may want active monitors--depends on your needs and situation and "room" you use to record.

Either way, there are many choices. Good luck researching and shopping.

Yeah check out the KRKs they are def some nice monitors. When it comes to choosing a keyboard u have to keep in mind like do u need a sequencer on it do u need it for sampling. U have to keep all that in mind. But im using a PK-6 along side with my MPC2k and it does me fine. Im using the M-audio BX5's by the way.
