I thought I might be able to use the digi001 as the sound device. Since I have my monitors hooked up to the Digi001's monitor out, I am only able to hear what has been recorded into protools. Is there a way for my computer to utilize these monitors as well? (for example, play an mp3 in itunes and hear them in the studio monitors).
My mac (10.3.4) wont let me select the Digi001 interface as the sound output device in settings.

Any suggestions? Not too important, just a silly question.

Thanks

Well...

I believe the hardware produced by the people who created Pro-Tools is indiginous only to Pro-Tools...

I've wanted to buy some of their hardware before for my Logic Setup - But have not because of this reason...

Hope this helps...

not true.
this is an extremely misunderstood myth about Pro Tools. Only the software requires Digi hardware to work. Think of it like a dongle. All of their hardware works with almost every audio program that utilizes ASIO, Wave, or Core audio drivers.

try this:
http://archive.digidesign.com/download/coreaudio/panther/

It hasn't been Digi tested with the 001 for version 10.3, but it may still work fine.

Thanks...

Thanks for the correction...
I may look further into some of these units then...
