Studio logic sl 1100 Help.

I'm a musician at my church. As a gift I was given a studiologic sl 1100 and have the least idea how to connect to my studio monitors. I do have music software as well. I have a windows 8 laptop. and recently purchased a usb midi cable which connects to laptop and controller but i need help with getting sound from my monitors instead of the internal speakers on my laptop. Thanks.

Try a 1/8 inch stereo to RCA cable from your laptop headphone/line out to the speakers. - I am assuming your studio monitors have RCA jacks and I am assuming they are self powered. Or better yet, post what kind of controller and monitor speakers you have.

Also, your keyboard may have a headphone/line out that can probably go straight into a powered pair of monitors with the right cable. If you are looking to record that is a different story. More info!
