Studio in garage question

Ok,,,, This is going to sound stupid but I am in a situation and can’t seem to make it work.

I have had to move my studio into a 2 car garage full of shelves, boxes, tables, etc.. I’m using Alesis Monitor One (and I hate them) and for some reason no matter where I put the monitors I have to mix everything with bass so low it’s hard to hear. If I mix anything where I can hear the kick and bass, when playing on home, car, and club systems the song is all bass. Is this just the speakers or do you think it’s the room?
 
I agree with Ethan.
I mix on Monitor ones and get mixes that translate fine.
But it was not always that way. The room needed mucho bass trapping in order for the bass buildup and standing waves to be taken care of and I could actually hear clearly.
