I wanted to ask if anyone has done anything like the following (and what the results were):
I have a Fostex FD8, and I want to hook it up to my new Tascam DP-02 (not arrived yet) via MIDI. The Fostex has a MIDI in, so I'm guessing it's just a case of hooking the MIDI out on the DP-02 to the MIDI in on the FD8, and setting the DP-02 as the controller.
Question is, what's likely to happen (apart from maybe an explosion) when I hit record / play on the DP-02? Will the FD8 also record, or just play.
