My old headphones i used for recording broke, but they were no good...what is the best pair of studio headphones i can buy for under $50.00, i am using them to record vocals

i just bought a set of ATH-M30's for about 100 bucks Canadian so that should be close. they are about 10000000% better than my old headphones so i am very happy with them. They have great bass and very little bleed out. In fact, a LOT of outside noise is blocked out when you put them on. My the way that is an Audio Technica brand.

I make the MoreMe Studio headphones which a lot of people like (and some hate). For more info, go to: http://moreme.info - they're only $20 each (Deluxe are $30 each).

The cheap Sampsons that I bought have cords coming out from both the right and left earcups, which is a pain. I see the MoreMe has the cord out of one cup only, an advantage. The Stereo/mono switch is a plus as well. For $30, I'd try the MoreMe Deluxe.

what would be the advantages of the st/m switch? I must be missing something.

In case two people want to listen to the same set of headphones. Flip the switch to mono and give one cup to one person and the other cup to the other person.

Oh I see! thanx man.

A more mundane reason is that sometimes I get the complaint of " I can only hear myself in one ear." In theory, this shouldn't happen, but I've found my headphone extension cords and connectors to be unreliable. Running the phones mono would allow you to keep working and you could track down the problem later. I don't send a stereo mix to the headphones, anyway.
