Hi, im in the process of booking studio time for my band and right now we're about to make a decision on which of the studios we want to lay down our tracks at. both studios are fairly in the same department as far as outboard gear go and other recording equipment, studio rates, but they differ in tape/audio format machines. Studio A has the 5 Tascam HD-78 24 bit Digital Multitrack System(as listed on thier web site) and Studio B has the Studer 827 2" machine with Dolby SR; and digital recording on 32 tracks of Tascam DA-88 format.(as listed on their web site)

so basically im just curious if Studio A, with a good free lance engineer, can produce a product as good as one if recorded at Studio B with the same engineer? bc it seems to me that Studio B offers a more beefier low-end sound which is waht we're looking for while Studio A has a better live tracking room for drums from what i hear. and also, which is better: STudio A's tascam machine or Studio B's?
