I'd like to learn about room design and tuning an existing space. Things I want to learn about include standing waves, bass traps and surface treatment materials. Can anyone suggest sites/sources where I might learn about this?

Secondarily, I've got a bunch of 16x12, 1" thick anti-static foam panels that I plan to use on my project studio walls and need suggestions for the best method of adhering the foam to drywall. I have experimented with Liquid Nails and this seems to work OK, but I'm wondering if it might not eventually break-down the foam.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

BW

Gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr foam again. In my humble opinion that stuff does NOTHING for sound

I agree sjoko - it's highly overrated..I never even considered it untill I found everyone in the US talking about it. It's very expensive here and it's only foam put through a fancy compression cam cutter that gives the fancy surface patterns.

Hey sjoko - have you ever been into an anocheic chamber? weird!!

cheers
john

yeah, very weird - I got nightmares about it!!
Must be like being locked up in a padded coffin, still alive.
