studio amp and monitors

Just wondering what the thoughts on a good "inexpensive" studio amp and monitor set up would be? Sound will be coming from a pc into the amp. It's a small control room 14L x 20w.
 
Hafler makes good amps. Tannoy makes good monitors.
If your on a budget, perhaps look into actives.
 
For a amp..Look into a used/new Parasound{I have a Para2200}Very clean and fast for the cash..I think we paid 500.00 used you might be able find one cheaper.. for speaks well you gotta look around and listen..But for less expensive The Tanoy Reveals are pretty cool
