Stretching audio

I am having problems when I stretch audio to fit to time, actually I'mm trying to shrink it a little. When I do this the audio losses a lot of quality and sound like crap. Any Ideas why?

did you check the loop construction view and how many slices there are in the audio? or am i not thinking of the right thing?
there are 2 slider bars and i think the one on the left divides the audio into different times. check that.
