Is it me or is the snare off centre?
Jay - much better - the acoustic brings it nearer.
I'd love to hear you play slide lines identical to the guitar & then pull the trubo back a bit more.
Really good vox.
 
You have an excellent country voice. Unfortunately, it's drastically outshining the instrumental.

Also, I wouldn't repeat, "it'll only hurt until it falls" when transitioning into the chorus.
