we don't need rest!!
Just curious what you Strat owners do with your Fender whammy bar. Do you just let it hang, and then quick grab it when you need it (well..that sounds kinda perverse!). But seriously, it'd be much nicer if gravity just didn't let the thing dangle down. I put my guitar in my case about once a day at least, and pack it off another 4 times a week. In those instances, I don't really like unscrewing the thing everytime also, but just swing it around so it fits in the Fender plastic molded rectangular case. So, from using teflon tape to whatever, what are some GOOD solutions to keeping the whammy bar in place, and not swinging around like a ... ?

I used to use teflon tape but eventually you get a block up in the female thread and have to dig the stuff out which is a pain, you could try a small spring, as long as the thing doesn't fall out.

My strat has a Floyd on it with the fitting on it to tighten it down however much, and wherever you need it. I tend to play with a lot of it and without the double locking system, I've never been able to keep a Strat in tune.

I also have the floyd ---- I let mine dangle loose, and just tend to grab it with my ring finger and pinky as needed. (Yeah, that does sound kind of lewd & crude.........)
