Hi all.

Fairly new to strats, got me an American standard. Love it.

I've been through a few variations with both 9 gauge and 10 gauge and I'm just returning to factory default setup so I can get back to basics.

I need to lower the strings a touch. I can either lower the saddles of each string accordingly, or lower the entire bridge with two pins.

When do you adjust the saddles and when do you adjust the bridge? They both have the same effect.

Or doesn't it matter?

Cheers,
FM

Assuming the trem block is set correctly and works as you want. Adjust the radius and action using the saddles. Then adjust the intonation once you have the action you require.

Dont know why it took 9 videos to set up a strat, :hmmm: but youtube stratocaster set up and you'll get a 9 step guide......it's a strat, takes about 30 mins max..
