A friend of mine wants to send an e-mail to someone where a music file would immediately start playing as soon as he opened it. Does anyone here have any idea how you might do that?

Thanks,

Ryan

If anything, it'll be an HTML email. I don't know too much about HTML emails, but you might want to do a Google search on them.

I think most email systems would actively defeat such an intention. If you can make something play an audio file open upon opening then you could do all sorts of other things...

And with the web-based email systems that most people seem to use these days, I doubt that would ever be possible anyway.

But I could be wrong, I'm not an expert.

No, you are right. Every e-mail system I know of would flag that as suspicious, at the very least, and block it from opening.
