i am trying to record on the multitrack session, but no matter what i do, only half of the track - the upper part of the screen is recorded, as if it is in pan mode. i didnt do anything do choose this mode, and when i playback the track,i hear it on one side of the headphones.

what happenned here???

maybe your signal going into the computer is mono? just a thought but it has happened to me before when my line in plug came halfway out.

Make shure your chords and any adapters you may be useing are all stereo.

If your recording in multi track mode the signal recieved is a mono one. Highlight the track you recorded click on mixdown and choose bounce down selected track. Choose the mixdown track and go into the edit window highlight the signal recieved and press ctrl and c. Now highlight the none recorded side and press ctrl and v to paste in the other side, you can tweak either side to your hearts content to produce a stereo image.

Eh? only if that's what you select as your recording input mode.

Check your settings, multitrack, defaults track record. Is this set for stero or mono?
