Strange MS bug reading VF CD WAV Saves
Have you ever popped your VF WAV-save CD into your PC and been surprised that the correct tracks were'nt saved or were mysteriously renumbered?
Maybe they were correctly saved and numbered by your VF after all! I recently discovered that the DVD/CD-RW drive in my PC, running Vista, does not correctly refresh the contents of a CD-R, even when I select the "Refresh" command for the drive or the root folder. For example, say I have placed a WAV-save CD-R from my VF160CD into my computer's drive, and the root directory of the drive displays a file named "D3109A01.WAV" (i.e., track 01 of VF program/recording D3109). Every other file/disk saved from program D3109 will read D3109A01, even if I refresh, remove the disk followed by an empty load, or load other disks in between! Obviously, refresh doesn't mean refresh for a Vista DVD/CD-RW drive. The only way I can get a true, refreshed reading of the CD's root directory is to restart/reboot the computer!
Any MS gurus out there who know of a setting I might try to correct this malfunction?
