Strange idea... patchbay + pedal power?

I have a strange idea for powering a couple guitar pedals. What if I plugged in the AC/DC power supply (w/ wallwart "remover" of course) in the back of my power conditioner, and then soldered the cable to a 1/4" TS plug and plugged it into the back of my patch bay? Then another 1/4" TS plug coming out the front of the patchbay back would be connected to a cable that splits into multiple plugs, and the pedals would be daisy chained for power. I assume this is fine, is 9V is nothing compared to 48v phantom power that goes through mic cables a lot of the time.

I have some 9V power supplies lying around that I could modify... how much current is required to power each pedal? (I use boss and digitech pedals).
 
Good idea but do you really need 24 power outlets!!

Some brands use diff voltage and polarity would'nt be worth the hassle in my opinion.

I used a single wallwart and just split off that, the polarity is an easy fix but the voltage could be a prob.
 
There wouldn't be 24 power outlets.... just one.

And recently I switched all my unbalanced cables to balanced, so now i conveniently have a bunch of 18-20' instrument cables.
