hi all,

I have a Boss DD-3 and I recentely discovered something weird: I still hear a small delay when the pedal is off!! It dissapears when I leave the pedal out of my chain. I even put all my reverb to 0 to be sure I wasn't going insane and confused my reverb wit a delay.

But no, it is definetely the delay pedal. the delay is pretty quiet, you only hear when you listen very hard and everybody is quiet.; but still a strange phenomena

Could it be something about the pedal not being "true bypass?" Actually, I hear that term thrown around all the time in regards to pedals but am not sure what it boils down to. Anyone care to explain? Especially if it deals w/ Brett's problem?

And it changes when it's off and you change the delay time and everything?

batteries dying maybe?

ive never heard of this with the delay pedals but some boss distortion pedals start bleeding effects into the "off" channel when the batteries are low.

This is my vote, as it's the most likely culprit.

However... if fresh GOOD batteries don't do the trick, the pedal's shot, and needs to be replaced/repaired.
