Storage

For now, I store everything on a 40 gig glyph hard drive, that is all music productions. All programs on the hard drive in he Mac. I belive I could use more storage but there seem to be so many choices I just don't know. It is a confusing collection of dvices to sort out.

Could anyone suggest what storage mediums work best, are best, should be best, could be best...

BTW, I am, for now using Digital Performer with a 733 Mac G4...MOTU 2408mkII...
 
You never mentioned what kind of storage you're looking for? Fast? Long term? Big? Small? Portable?

Pkay, fiar question. first off, long term storage. Spped is not that mportant however, size is. Presently, I store files on CD however, it can take three or four discs to store an entire file which is cumbersome. I would like a medium where this is not the case. I would imagine that DVD might work or I suppose tape. Possibly another hard drive or, I saw an IDEE ard drive with removable bays kind of like the Alesis 24 track recorder only it can be used for your computer. This looked like a very good option...
