Ok so, i got my monitors hooked up to my motu 828. Thing is that, im sick and tired of turning on the monitors after turning on the motu. but if i turn on the monitors first and then motu, then the monitor produces an annoying pop sound.
How do i completely eliminate this pop sound from the monitors when i turn it on? i'm using an unbalanced cable on the monitors. thanks..

That's just the way it goes. It's like a PA system, amps go on last and off first.

um you answered your question..........
Motu then monitors, you could use a mixer or some sort of volume control between then but then theres a knob to turn.

Yep, turn the amps on last and off first, OR buy amps that have the anti-thump feature bult in.

I did the latter, since I also run my two PC's through the same amp(s) as well and they're essentially always on.
