I am still not able to get my software to record from my Roland XV-88 synth.
My current configuration:
Roland Keyboard XV-88
Laptop: Hewlett-Packard ZD7000 (17” laptop—about 1 year old)
Audio card: Sound Blaster external USB audio. I connected Roland XV-88 RCA output TO Sound Blaster external audio card RCA input TO USB HP ZD-7000 laptop.
Cable: www.m-audio.com MIDISPORT Uno that connects Roland MIDI to laptop.
Software: Cool Edit Pro
Please tell me what I am doing wrong. When I try to record using Cool Edit Pro, it is as if the software is not "hearing" my playing coming from the Roland. I checked all volume levels (on the audio card and within the computer's sound control panel), and made sure the software line in is set to Sound Blaster.
