i moved up my latency settings to 1024 and still get nasty pops/clicks on ALL my audio. i have never got a real good sound since i bought this card 4 months ago.HELP GIDGE again!

Latency of 1024 ? I dont see that setting. I keep mine at 20.
Have you checked the latency settings in your software ?
Or does this occur even with system sounds, CD's, etc...
That is if you use this card for everything.

still N-Tracking?....make sure those buffers are cranked up again.....

thanks guys,i just lowered it to 256--same ole shit. i haven't been n-tracking with it much at all lately gidge.i have been dubbing old performing tapes to the harddrive and playing back mp3's. PLAYBACK generally sucks!

i will begin building my new pooter next month so i hope that fix's it.i have NEVER eliminated the pops and clicks from this card.very frustrating. i have tried everything---as gidge would atest to.

i have a 1.2 amd with 20 gig drive and 256 sdram.this dog should hunt better on this system.

i was getting some pretty nasty pops/clicks until I:

1. Went into the Audiophile Control Panel
2. Click the Hardware Settings Tab
3. Under Codec Sample Rate, check the box beside Rate Locked

jw, i thought we had you going at one point?......

oh well, back to the drawing board.....

try that setting milkman recommended first.....

thanks milkman, thats working---for now anyway. so that means i have both "reset rate when idle" and "rate locked" checked. i hope it remains that simple. hehe, hold your breath gidge.

i dont have my Rate Locked checked and im doing ok, but whatever works go with it......fingers are crossed, JW......

then i played Unreal Tournament for an hour and played some more mp3's afterwards. good again. thats always a good test cause UT is a big processor hog.

hell ya!...im going pop your tape in the stereo and pop open a cold one!!!!!!

I had a similar problem with my card... It only happened to me when recording. Unchecked the DMA option on my hard drive and that fixed it. Something to do with my motherboard I believe.
