Hey guys,
I have a live gig next week. First time in ages...
I would like to make a recording of the show, but the means are very limited. Since I play in the show, I can't really spend any time recording. I also don't know the soundman, and don't know f he'll be willing to make a submix to send to a second mixer.
What I had in mind, is just to stick a couple of MXL-1006s on the sides of the stage, hook them up to a small mixer and go straight to MiniDisk. What I am concerned about, is that there are many different performers, and each of them play in a different style, ranging from soft accoustic to progressive (sigh).
Does anyone think that there is a slim chance that this is going to work?
