I'm sorry, probably the newbiest question ever...

How do i open Steven Slate Drums in Pro Tools?
I understand how to use intruments but SSD aint there its that KONTACT3 crap...is that what i use? if so...what do i do from there?

I use SSD on Cubase. For me, Cubase and Kontakt3 need to be running. I open Cubase and then make an instrument track and one of the options is Kontakt3, and I choose that. It sounds like you got that far.

Kontakt3 is the player than runs Steven Slate Drums. When Kontakt3 comes up you need to load a multi drum set intro Kontakt3. Steven Slate Drums will not run without Kontakt3... that's how it runs.

When I downloaded SSD there were some ReadMe type files that described how to load in Multi drum sets. It sounds like that's where you got snagged.

Not sure if you can translate all this into ProTools

But you're right, Kontakt3 is crap - because it's not Scottish!
