hello all my set up consists of a presonus firestudio mobile going into ableton live and some headphones for monitoring (no monitors yet) now here is my problem. when i want to record directly and have my guitar plugged into the firestudio and the track i want to use armed i get a doubled signal. what it sounds like is im hearing the signal right after the firestudio preamp mixed with the processed signal coming out of ableton. this is while using the headphone jack on the front of the audio interface. the best solution i have come up with is to stick my headphones in the left output jack in the rear of the firestudio and there is a switch on my headphones for mono and stereo that i switch to mono, that works but there has to be a better way plus i run into problems when i want to start panning signals. how can i just hear just the output of the processed signal and hear it in both ears and be able to pan and not have that "doubling" effect sound? to make matters more complicated presonus has mixer software that is after the firestudio and before the daw (i can bypass it but it confuses the hell out of me either way) hope you can comprehend what im saying! help would be appreciated, thanks!
