stereo micing a guitar in pro tools

Hey Everyone,

I have Pro Tools and an Mbox, and have a newbie question concerning stereo micing solo guitar music.

Say i am recording a solo fingerpicking piece, i have both mics plugged into the two inputs of the Mbox and am ready to go. Should i create just one stereo track and have its inputs as line 1 and 2. Or should create two seperate mono tracks, one for each mic?

So far i have just been creating one stereo track and selecting line 1 and 2 as its inputs.

you'll have more flexibility if you create 2 seperate mono tracks as you can then change the panning, change effects on each track, change volumes, or eq.
 
If you are doing some type of stereo XY micing then it might make sense to put them on a stereo track but I agree with Axis.
