okay, can anyone help me with getting my home studio set up..... I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop computer, a Packard Bell Desktop computer, a scanner, a Lexmark printer, a Kawai keyboard, a Fostex 4-track (not digital), a shure universal mic, 2 computer mics, a dual cassette/cd player, ordered a Sony external cd-r today which should be here in about a week. I know nothing about how to get the four track recordings onto the pc to work with in cakewalk or real producer or angelkeys or cool edit or any of those programs and then how to get it onto the CD. I want to know how to get all of these things compatible and be able to make my own cd'a and cassettes. I need to know about making CD labels and J-cards and how to get these items shrink wrapped.. I need to know how to start from scratch... what other equipment do I need... can my PC serve as my mixer? help walk me through the setting up process - I will want to add more equipment and stuff as time progreeses and as i learn more about it - but I want to start right now making demo's and getting the hang of setting up my own studio..... please - a lot of people respond and give me insight... thanks... lp
